In 2014, an existing developer sought our expertise for a refurbishment project. The client, planning a comprehensive modernization and extension of their family home, expressed interest in smart homes and our home cinema systems. Collaborating closely with the family, we meticulously designed the entire project specification, incorporating tweaks to align with their preferences.

While this smart home features a Niko Home Control installation and a bespoke lighting design, the standout feature is undeniably the home cinema. Accommodating 16 people with a stunning 4K UHD 8-foot screen, 5.1 audio, and customizable mood lighting, it truly stands out as something exceptional. We provided demonstrations of various systems, offering precise advice on each option to ensure the final specification met the client's exacting standards.The specification included:

•  Complete electrical design & installation

• Niko Home Control installation for entrance gate, heating and lighting control

• Full bespoke lighting design inside and out featuring products from Collingwood, Elstead and JCC

• Lighting winch controlled through automation system for easy cleaning of crystal chandelier

• Cinema room complete with JVC projector, Arcam processing equipment, 8 foot screen, PMC in-wall speakers, REL subwoofer and customisable mood lighting from Collingwood and JCC

• Whole house and garden Sonos audio system utilising a mixture Bowers & Wilkins in-ceiling, in-wall and exterior speakers

• Full security system comprising of intruder alarm and remotely accessible full HD CCTV system

• Full HD matrix distribution system

• Freeview distribution system

• Wired and wireless networking throughout
